1. Elected parents representatives on the school governing body.

For the first two years the Board of Trustees of Noor Ul Islam Trust ran the school. The board of governors has now been set up with two parent representatives.

2. A.G.M. with forum for parents to question the management of the school and for the school to present to the parents the annual school and finance report.

The Board of Governors have agreed to provide a forum for parents to question the managment of the school. It is hoped that this will be done three times a year, including when presenting an annual report. In the past the board of Trustees have presented themselves to respond to parents concerns on specific occassions.

3. At least 2 parents evenings per school year.

We have held two parents evening each year since our start in September 2001.

4. Parental consultation on major issues concerning the school, ie. Increase in school fees, major building work that requires extra funds ,etc.

Parents are regularly written to and suggestions sought from them. With regards to increases in school fees, we have had to do this once and there was little the board of trustees could do. However parents were invited so an explaination could be given as to why the fees are increasing.

5. School responding to parents letters, phone calls, their concerns etc, in a quick and effective manner.

The school has a complaints policy in line with the LEA. We aim to call back same day, preferably within two hours. There may have been occassions when this has not been achieved but the communications policy shows we aims to respond quickly and effectively.

6. L.E.A. school inspection report made available to the parents if they wish to see it.

N/A However comments from OFSTED inspectors are passed on to parents.

7. Access to the copy of the school annual finance report and the report to be made in a simple format and easy to understand for the benefit of the parents.

The school is a part of the Noor Ul Islam Trust and therefore annual accounts is includedin the Trust. This is availalbe and put on display for the public to scrutinise.
