Rotorua

Monday 26th March

This is Waiotapu just south of Rororua and this is the Lady Knox Geyser.

They make it go off every morning by dropping soap into it. Otherwise it would be unpredictable.

These are the hot boiling mud pools.
They are very relaxing to watch as they plop, jump and explode.

In the Evening we went to a Maori meal with dancing.
You know with the tong out and lots of shouting.
The food was cooked in and underground oven and was very good.

I think Rachel looks more frightening in this picture.
