Dear Ted, I am writing on behalf of Studio Upstairs; an amazing and unique art studio, which also has a writers group and music group. It holds the space for people who are having mental health difficulties to use it as a community and as studio to get on with their art in whatever way. It is run by art therapists/artists/musicians/actors, and is based in Bristol in the dockyard behind Spike Island. Studio Upstairs has been running for 20 years in London and 7 years here in Bristol and has a long established group of people who need and use the studio. We are in Financial crisis due to government funding cut backs and may have to close before the end of this year. We are arranging a benefit gig at The Louisiana, grouping some well known, local musicians together to raise money for and to develop awareness of Studio Upstairs. Would you be interested in being part of this benefit gig,we admire your work greatly and it would be grand if you had the free time to take part. dear ted we met 1992 at the „rote fabrik“ in zurich. you had a concert at restaurant „ziegel“. in this time I was a waiter there. maybe do you remember I painted the transparent with the ape on it. for that you signed up the lp „pagan strings“ for me. it was a great gig. anyway I discovered you are still on with making music. miriam and me now running an own location called THE SATISFACTORY in basel, also switzerland. there are playing live bands, dj‘s (from crossover to electronica). we are a part of a project called „openbroadcast.ch“ the first user generated radio in switzerland. we are able to record gigs and probably to broadcast them live. it would be great to welcome you there and you guys play a concert in this location. the opening date probably will be in the middle of november. our site well be startet up soon. we let you know. would be nice to have a answer from you. send you greetings diego & miriamdiego Zweifel, dz@dzart.ch

I remember seeing you at the Michael Soble Centre in Finsbury Park, in December 1980. You were supporting Ian Dury & the Blocheads (Ian introduced you). Other band there that night were, beginning with you were Basement 5, The Selecter and last but not least Ian Dury and the Blockheads. You may have been booed of, but i thought you were great and have been a fan ever since, I bought your album 'in Berlin' and had it for years until some basterd stole it. Hi Ted, I run a clubnight in Southend-On-Sea, Essex with four friends. Originally starting the night becuase of frustration of there being a lack live music and good DJ's. We always have a band play then play records into the early hours of the morning, needless to say Blurt is played a number of times each night. We would be very interested in having Blurt play one night during the Easter weekend 2nd - 4th April 2010. Would you be interested in playing?
