Thanks for your effort. Great that there are so many CDs and LPs to remember one of the best live acts of the 80s. When was it? Must have been in 86 or so, when someone from the audience called, "Fuck your bicycle", and Ted answered, "Only if it's got a license." Heady times, indeed.

Ça s'appelle: 'Mouette Tuer / Kharms Project'. Rare et beau. Black Sifichi (Radio Nova / www.novaplanet.com Paris)

I have been a BLURT fan for perhaps as long as 20 years. My brian is an ill-wired piece of dilapidation, making such a thing possible. Unfortunately I have not always been able to keep up with Blurt's doings, and I had thought that Blurt didn't survive the 1990s. That's how out of touch I was. So there's STILL a Blurt, there's STILL a way to hear those Ted Milton singles (which I still have on vinyl), and now you're going to be gigging with the legendary Charles Hayward. Man, I wish I were you. I will definitely be buring some of the CDs from the website... when I, uhh, have money again.

Hi - great to discover your site. I am desperately trying to recall the name of the Blurt song I once owned in the very early 80's. I am guessing it must have been their first commercial success. Would it have been "Get"? The song had a roaring horn section, but I can't recall the name. Hope you might be able to. Also, do you happy to know of any web sites where I can sample old tracks? thanks Greg, New Zealand

Hallo to all of the Blurt! You might remeber our band - The Ear Thieves from the last Big Ear Budapest festival. We still keep in deep memory your great show! I wonder if you would be fancy to come to Czech Republic to do a gig or two together with us? You can refresh the idea about us from our web: www.earthieves.com. Please, let me know what do you think about this idea and I will see what I can do for the fruition of it. I hope you are doing well and we will have a chance to meet on the stage again! (At least we would be delighted...) I hope to hear from you soon! All my best - yours David Subik

Hello ted(??!!),i remember seeing on the 'chart show'(i think)in 87/88,'the body they built...' video, bought the lp's-smoketime & kenny rogers take 2,but was disapointed to find they were'nt the same version,Which release contained that 'video' version??was it released at all??,it was by far the better version(i my humble but unimportant opinion!!),i have many blurt records, but is there any unreleased demos or something in the vein of 'fish needs a bike'-as to me that is one of they greatest noisy art-crunch post punk 7"s EVER!,great guitar!!(i know blurt is all about sax -which is also great-OBVIOSLY!!,but that 7" still destroys my brain 21 yrs later...)-other faves-for your mild amusement or not,are 1st 7"(both classics)ruminant plinth(lp version)& bullets for you..& the video version of body..!!!-please let me know-MANY thanks, stay cool!-Lee. deb_walton@lineone.net

Just found your site, been listening to the great Blurt since right back in the early 80s when "In Berlin" came my way. No one does nihilistic sax mechanics so well 'cept maybe James Chance. "The Fish Needs A Bike" is an all time classic, but the same could be said for all of the Blurt songs...good to see you're still doin'it. Once i effect the sutble alchemical transmutation of dole card to loaded credit card i'll come back and do some shopping. Keep up the good work Pete Rose (Wellington New Zealand 2/8/2002)

I didn't know how to play saxophone, so I ran right out and bought an alto. I threw it down the stairs, bent the bell of the horn in. My brother got a hold of it, and he threw it down the same stairs. The bell was a total mess. One day I told Paul, bring your drum kit over. I told Roy, bring your base. We set up. I said, I don't know nothing about the saxophone but I know we can do this. Just start. I honked, squealed, set the thing going, tore a sheet and put it in the air, then set the sheet on fire. Roy joined in, then Paul. When we were done I said, man, that was perfect. Roy said, too bad I forgot to start the tape player. We tried again and again, but we never managed to get it the way we had the first time we played when no one was listening but the instruments we held in our hands.

Dear Ted, yesterday I met an old acquantance of mine and like I heard of you too, namely Sonya (of Antwerp),well she told me you're making beautifull (art)books and that's why I'm writing you. I have a small secondhandbookstore in Brussels with an expositionroom at the back and I'd like you to have an exposition with your artwork. It's been more then 20 years since I last heard of Blurt/ted Milton, I used to set up gigs for your band in Brussels (Ancienne Belqique with Z'ev and Tuxedo Moon), I have very fine memories of this and am looking forward for your reply, greetings Raf Bauwens Koolmarkt 102 1000 Brussels 025110045

Ted, It's great to see your site and that you are still and have been active over the years. I was playing Blurt back on the radio back in 1980-83 on college radio in the US when few stations were, mostly the Factory Sampler side and Live in Berlin. Had no idea you'd done so many more records, they've always been hard to find here in the US. It's great to see you on the Web, still playing, and still expressive.

I would love to film a digital promo video for your friend Steve Eagles. I also produce a BANG BANG MACHINE fanzine called BANGMAN and it would be great if i could interview Steve Eagles for it. Do you have a contact or email address for Steve Eagles? Thanks Leigh.

Dear Ted Milton! We met last autumn in Am*dam after your marvelous concert on the Stubniz. Our contact was very brief, so I'm not sure if you still remember me , but I asked you to play in the future ,in the iLLUSEUM ,in Am*dam if we happen to arrange a little venue for New Music. Now it seems we managed to do so! For the 1st half of the year 2003, we got a little (quite tiny, but still...)financial support to organize a New Music & Literature Event. For this we would be very honoured to invite you.....if you are interested please let me know the conditions we need to organize & what dates would be suitable for you. Thanx again for the memorable concert, I'm looking forward to hear from you , soon? I wish you a very good time & a happy transition into the New Year! Best regards from Grace de la Luna.
