The AmigaONE is the next step for the Amiga computer platform, developed by Amiga and Eyetech ltd, to provide the current Amiga market a PPC based, true next generation solution. Its been a long time coming, but it finally looks as a new commercial available Amiga at an affordable price is just around the corner. Following is a list of the features and details available on the AmigaOne Micro.

Tiniest Amiga in the World!…
The features of the A1-Micro will largely be the same as the AmigaOne XE, but with one huge 'or should that be small?' differences, its size! The whole motherboard is only 17 by 17 cm in size, this means that this Amiga will be able to fit into not just tiny PC ITX Cases, but even into DVD players, so all I can say is bring back the AmigaMCC designs!

Power PC is the future...
The AmigaOne Micro will most likely feature a G4 running at a clock speed of 800 to 1,000Mhz! The speed of this board and CPU connect is the same as the XE, it also has the ability to upgrading the CPU to even faster speeds at a later date. The board will support most G4 PPC chips, which currently clock speeds up to 1,500Mhz or 1.5Ghz. If we get a module update then the CPU connector could support the new 64bit G5 PPC range. Currently can clock up to 2.5Ghz and is lickly to run all the way up to 3.5Ghz before jumping to the G6. More detail on this to follow.

Computer Standards Introduced...
Along with introducing the Amiga to new CPU performance the AmigaOne Micro also carries on its board a number of other new devices/connectors that the classic Amiga never came with, and could only be supplied thought the use of hacks. PCI, AGP, USB and more are things that PC & Mac owners have had for years, now finally the Amiga will have access to them too. With these computer standards connection on the A1 motherboard, the Amiga world can finally have the access to the computer market range of hardware, like GFX cards (Matrox, Vodoo), Soundcards (SoundBlaster pro), Network cards etc.. the list is endless.

Everything has been advance!
Not only will the AmigaOne offer, true PPC performance, and give new devices, but it also gives Amiga users access to the faster and larger ram, hard drives, and network ability, everything has been advance! The grate thing is you can design your own dream Amiga easily, compared to the classic Amigas.

New OS, New Designs, New Future!
The AmigaONE Micro will truly change what the Amiga use to be, the Micro could even be the answer to a portable Amiga. When the AmigaOS finally takes full advantage of what the A1 offers, this will truly be a powerful computer system, read more on the AmigaOS here. The official tower picked for the AmigaOne is much better deign than most PC's. We have got a real chance of bring the Amiga back to where it belongs with this first system.
