About PDA`s (Personal Desktop Application) One of the main system that Amiga are trying to push there Amiga DE into, is the PDA market (Personal Digital Assistant). Many of the games and software made on the SDK so far, has been made and design to run on a low spec system. The specs that Gary Peake said that people should aim for when developing for a PDA powered Amiga DE device should be as follows:- QVGA (240*320 Pixel) Software can be written to this specification in the Amiga SDK by creating a 16-bit 240*320 AVE window. This will provide a replica of the PDA environment. The list of software for the DE will show you which software has been made to run on a PDA. Series Zero, is the first collection of software developed for PDA use. Most of the games are simple puzzle games, perfect for the Japan and PDA devices. Sharp Zaurus PDA The PDA official supporting the Amiga DE is only the Sharp Zaurus but other partner ships are highly likely ( Palm PDA extra.). But for now the Zaurus is the only one we can confirm. Below is some information on the Zaurus. Zaurus
Zaurus Information. I would also recommend buying Digital for information on PDA device. And of course you can find a lot of information on the AiG site. Below are some pictures of the Zaurus running the Amiga DE playing Doom and the Amiga web site.
